Executive Computer Management Solutions, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Ralph Blanco. Ralph obtained his BA in Business Administration with a Management Information Systems track from Youngstown State University. His first job was in the IT Department of HMIS/St. Elizabeth Hospital (now known as Mercy Health) from 1992-1999. From 1997 to 1999 Ralph was offering his IT network consulting services to ECS - Executive Computer Solutions when he quickly realized that the area businesses were going to need a proactive approach to IT—like what he had been seeing inside the hospital systems—instead of just a reactive model. At that time, Executive Computer Solutions was primarily a Microsoft Training company. When approached to buy Executive Computer Solutions, Ralph's vision was to take the then 95% training company to a 100% networking company. The company was purchased in November of 1999 and the name was changed from ECS – Executive Computer Solutions to ECMSI – Executive Computer Management Solutions Inc.
